In town for a business trip and found this amazing park about 15 minutes from downtown Hartford. I went for a 4.5 mile walk on a gorgeous day. Many people were out, including families. Lots of bikes around also, although I can't speak to the quality of the bike trails. Highly recommended if you're in the area!
Excellent place to spend some quality time with nature. The current construction is a bit distracting but it is understandable that they are trying to make the place even better. Would have appreciated a few more areas with seating along the trails to be able to stop and rest awhile.
This is a great place to take a walk, a jog, or a bike ride. The main paths are very well maintained, and mostly paved, and there are many other side Trails of varying difficulty that you can go on.
Real nice walking trails. Some easy flat others some hills.
I love photographing wild life and nature. There are many bird and wildlife here. Bear and cubs, deer with 2 fawns, mink, red tailed hawk, eagles, turkeys, great blue heron, northern flickers, woodpeckers, cedar waxwings, scarlet tanenger, ducks, geese, swallows, many finches and blue birds. a GREAT place for walking jogging birding biking!
