The only positive comment I can offer is that the mail was, indeed, delivered later the same day after the phone call was made.
The postal delivery for my business is fairly reliable, but when they forget/neglect to deliver (only about once every 6-8 months), the male who answers the phone is incredibly rude and defensive. Mistakes happen. People forget. That's perfectly fine. But when the post office is at fault (everyone in my building got mail that day, but incoming mail was not dropped off nor was the outgoing mail taken out), some humility would be welcome. An aggressive/nasty tone is unhelpful to all parties and does not instill respect or trust in this branch. Unfortunately, there is no recourse for this continued behavior and ill-mannered employee and no alternative is available. Steer clear, if possible.
Do not call the 800 number I tried for 20 minutes to go through the worst automated system ever click on website link and it has an actual number for the post office, but o can't get through now because they closed 2 minutes ago, and I wasted all my time trying the stupid 800 number. Thanks google you bunch of morons why don't you put the number of the post office not the generic number that's utterly useless
***update 06.29.2017 - after 3 hours of continuous ringing, I was able to talk to a person who was more than friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Upgrading from 1 to 3 stars just because this young man was terrific.
This PO is a nightmare of customer dis-service. They don't even answer the phone. My mail which is supposed to go to my PO Box is being returned to sender or being forwarded to an old address for no reason what so ever. I paid for the box, the address on the returned envelopes are correct and nobody can help. I've had a PO BOX at this office for 14 years and I've been yelled at by the postal employees, routinely stood in line for 20-25 minutes each visit and had my mail returned to sender for no reason. The Postal Service wonders why it can't stop losing money - what a laugh. Now I have to drive 25 minutes to try and get the "return to sender situation fixed because nobody will answer the phone. I gave it 1 star because I can't post this review with no stars - which it has justly earned!
I have called 6 times in the last two days and they just let the phone ring until it gets disconnected. That is unacceptable.
Customer service here is terrible. Most of the times I come in there's a long line, and only one person working at any of the stations. There's usually a manager or somebody that occasionally the pops out of the office just behind the stations, just kind of wandering around, sometimes he'll go outside and wander around for a few minutes, and then come back in, not really doing anything that I can tell, where as they could spend a few minutes working one of the stations, helping shorten the line. the location in the center of town is usually much quicker, although parking is harder there.
