All hotels were filled due to the Marathon weekend. This place had one room available on the smoking level. Even though the room itself was non-smoking it smelled of smoke....pillow were flat, but everything was clean otherwise. Breakfast included (cereal, yogurt, coffee, tea, fruit). For the price it was definitely OK, but nothing remotely fancy.
I visit family in West Hartford, and don't want to always stay with my family. I love how centrally located this hotel is. Lots of food, shops, etc in the immediate area. Close to the highway, for easy access. Downfall: very tight parking garage, even with 2 levels, it's tight maneuvering. The basic amenities in the room are broken or nearly broken. Our lamp had had a shortage in the wire, and it kept on flickering off and on. The elevator is definitely questionable, it bounces between floors, and is SUPER slow. Take the stairs. Their garage is FILLED with old room furniture, which was strange being that their garage is already a tight fit. Both garage floors have piles of desks, lamps, mattresses, and couches. I guess you get what you pay for, and serves its purpose for a night or 2 of rest and a clean shower.
The west Hartford Inn might not be one of the most plushest hotels I have stayed in but the friendliness of the staff was so welcomed. It was very clean and our room was lovely. Nice and relaxing environment. I would definitely stay there again if my travels ever take me back to West Hartford
Not the fanciest hotel, but definitely a super warm and friendly hotel. They are very nice and accommodating :)
Absolutely the worst hotel. The place was old and falling apart. Nothing worked and everything was broken. It smelled bad.
